Our Core Values

MercyLine Mission:

To Establish a Firm Christian Foundation to care for the children affected by HIV/AIDS, the less privileged, the vulnerable, the widowed and the needy, by lifting Jesus among the young, and through ministering love and care to all, so that He may draw all to Himself.      James 1:27, John 3:3, Mark 16:15-18, John 12:32

MercyLine Vision:

We visualize children living a happy life full of meaning and prosperity.

MercyLine Objectives:

One. Increase opportunities for orphans and vulnerable children to access education and improve their physical, cognitive and psychological care and development.

Two. Develop new initiatives, support and add value to existing efforts designed to strengthen the capacity of families and communities to increase awareness and provide preventative measures, care and support services to children affected by HIV/AIDS

Three. Improve parent/guardian and caregiver capacities to care for orphaned and vulnerable children by enhancing knowledge, skills and practices that reduce household poverty, demystify AIDS and decrease the associated stigmatization while strengthening social support at the family and community level.

Four. Broaden the concept of family to included extended family, informal fostering, family units, child-headed households and further enhance the capacity to cope with the challenges associated with caring for orphans and vulnerable children.

Five. Enhance a partnership approach that strengthens responses of community-based organizations and those of other social welfare institutions and organizations that embrace care and support options which support families and orphaned or vulnerable children.
